Wow! your a legend sir 😇 my new 4tb ssd just wasnt showing up in explorer, disc management or even in the bios????? was trying new sata cables, power to the modular PSU, all to no avail : ( I was googling sulutions to this problem but nothing really helped!!!!! so I tried your suggestion about the memmory diagnostic test!! I did this. the computer re-booted, I eagerly checked explorer!! nothing : ( disc management, nothing : ( then I restarted, went into bios, nothing?????? damn!! started my pc up, was just sat thinking what the hell to do next??? after a few minutes I heard the windows sound and a pop up appeared saying windows diagnostic completed and resolved 🤔 so I thought hmm?? went to explorer, wasnt showing : ) then to disc management and hey ho!!!!!! there it was, 3087 mb unallacated space available 😍 so just did the process and initialized it as GPT and formatted it 😀 so happy mate, made my day as I would have totally got a stress head on other wise!! so still works as of 6/07/2024 😎👌

if you are on Windows 11 and your drive still doesn't show up in Disk Management after running the memory diagnostics try this: Settings > System > Storage > Advanced storage settings > Storage spaces. After running memory diagnostics my drive did not show up in Disk Management, but it appeared in this menu as part of a storage pool. Removing the drive from that pool made it instantly appear in Disk Management. Maybe it can work for you. I'm not sure what the process is like on Windows 10

6-1/2 years later and it still works! Installed 2 new drives but Windows couldn't see them. This fixed the issue! Thank you!!

i dont know whats not woriking.. in BIOS i can see them but not in my explorer window to initialize the newest one.. ive tried the steps but nothing happened...

Hat bei mir leider nicht geklappt ;( Bei mir taucht die SSD allerdings im Geräte Manger auf, jedoch nicht im Explorer oder in der Datenträgerverwaltung

This works for me, but then Windows loses ALL recognition of the drive if I restart, reboot or if the power goes out. What can I do? PLEASE HELP! You are the only one whose suggestion could make it work! (memory test, that is!)

Unfortunately, this solution didn't work for me.

I worked! For half an hour... then I tried deleting a single picture from a folder and it said it doesn't recognizes the SSD. On Disk Management it went from Online to Unknown and Unitialized, until it finally dissapeared from the list. This was my last resort, I'll just do the RMA and see what I can get. Thank you anyway.

I don’t understand. Everything I try to do with either fixing or updating my pc something is wrong and I’m the only human being on the planet where every option isn’t working. I’ve tried literally everything. It’s turned on but it’s not connected. Why is this even a thing? How is this even a thing? If I have it plugged into my motherboard I expect it to just be there. Why must there be so many back alleys where I have to traverse to do one simple task and why must I be the only human being to be the only one left with this issue because literally nothing works. It’s detected in the bios but it’s not in disk management. I’ve tried everything. Guess I’ll just delete some of the games I don’t play knowing I’ll wanna download them later
